Every competition is governed by it's Specific Rules, Group Specific Rules and General
Rules. If a Specific Rule contraries something from the other rules, the Specific Rule is
the right rule. All rules are organized below. If you still have any questions, check our
FAQ page.

This Rules applies to all the competitions. If any of this rules contraries the
Specific Rules for competition, consider the Specific rules.
- All files send by email should be compressed using a zip format compression software,
like Pkzip or WinZip. Don't send executables (.exe) files.
- Download all free the scenarios from BlueByte's web site.
- Don't cheat. If discovered you will be kicked out from all competitions.
Starting a Game
- Every game has a challenger and a challenged.
- You can challenge just one player at a time from the same competition.
- You can't be challenged by more than one player in the same competition.
- You can't challenge any player below your position in the rank.
- You can't challenge a player that is more than 10 positions from you in the Rank.
Example: if you are the 19th, you can challenge players up to the 9th including.
- You can reject a challenge, but you have 2 months to accept a new challenge. If you
don't accept a challenge after 2 months you go down one level in the competition. The only
exception is the number one player, he can stay just one month without a challenge.
- To challenge a player you need to send a email to him copying me, saying the competition and the map.
- If a player didn't answer a challenge, he can't challenge or be challenged until he
answer the challenge, accepting it or not.
- To accept a challenge a player should create a game according to the competition rules
using the map selected and send it to the challenger copying me.
Playing
- You can't stay more then one month without sending your turn. If you don't send it for
one month it'll be considered that you surrender.
- If your opponent didn't answer you sending his turn for more than one week, send him it
again copying me every week for 4 weeks, in the
4 week you will be considered the winner.
- After the 5th turn you can surrender any time.
- Be nice, don't kick other players face when they are loosing, they will do the same with
you next time.
Winning
- You win in tree cases:
- Your opponent surrender.
- Your opponent quit.
- You achieve your winning objectives.
- In all the cases, you should send to me your winning turn with your password, so I can
register it.
Going up in the Ranks
- Every position in the rank has a value. When you win you receive half of the points of
the challenged. This points are added to your actual points (the ones that you have
because of your position in the rank). This sum of points will determine your new position
in the competition.
- If the sum of points is equal to the other player, the total number of victories is
compared, if it's equal, the total number of losses if compared. Who has the higher number
of victories or less losses will occupy the new position.
- When a player occupy a new position, all other players between his old position and the
new, go down one level.
Ex.: One competition has 100 ranked players. You are number 72. You challenge player 62
(the higher you can challenge), if you win, the formula will be (72-62)/2+62= 67. Now your
position will be 67 only if the 67th player has less victories than you. If he has more,
you will occupy the position 68th. If both player has the same number of victories, it's
compared the number of loses, who has less will occupy the new position.
Very simple. The Challenged create a game with Mercs On. See, who said tactical games
are complicate.
According to the competition the Challenged should create a game choosing between 1000,
2000 or 3000 points, but don't forget, use the map indicated by the challenger.
Online games has many different things to consider, since it depends on where the
player lives and what he uses to create the games. Considering this many rules are
different. The Rank rules aren't ready yet, but you can start playing because in the
beginning the only thing that matters is the win/loss rate. More will come later.
Winning
- All the general rules apply, but instead of sending your turn (what is impossible since
you can't save it), you send me a print screen (press the button Print Screen and save the
image using a program that generate bitmap files), of the winning screen in .zip format.
- Prior to the start of the game, the challenged must send a email to me copying the
opponent, announcing the game.
- If the connection is lost, the game must be rematched with the same conditions.
- To protect you from Quitters (guys that break the connection when they are losing),
print screen and save your winning moments - like when you have killed his first
soldier - and your end screen and send me all this if he didn't rematch.
This is the old competition. Here are the rules:
- Play-by-mail map and start conditions are preset and changed for each game.
- Once there is a winner, the final pbm .sav file must be mailed to me as soon as
possible.
- If any cheats are used, your entry will forever be expelled. (I can tell).
- Each game must be completed within 40 days and a turn sent within every 8 days
or the game is scrapped.
In order to play, you must have all extra maps from BlueByte Incubation Site.
